How I got here

My timeline starts when I was a teenager, obsessed with online video games. I built a website for my online gaming team when I was 15 years old. From the moment I wrote my first line of HTML and saw it render something in a browser, I was hooked. I began building websites for friends and family as a way to get more experience. My first professional opportunity in this industry wasn't until I was 23 years old. This would be at a small marketing agency building websites for local businesses.

My new opportunity would evolve into software development, building web applications. While on this path, I wanted to get closer to the people using the things I built. Leveraging my network, I found my way into a mentorship with a UX researcher. Working close with her is when I became dedicated to learning the craft of product design. I spent about 4 years working on my craft before looking into more of a leadership path. Today I have moved on to building and managing teams of practitioners full-time.
